Control types:

• Sensored: Very high performace at start up and at low speeds.
• Square Wave (BLDC): Optimum cost without position sensors and very good dinamic response.
• Vector Control (PMSM): Maximum efficiency and minimum torque ripple thanks to sinus wave. Minimum acoustic noise. Position estimation using state observer: no position sensors needed.

Great range of speed regulation, but the commutator brushes need maintenance.
